Description

The ‘monitoring systems’ are used to gather data from the system and displayed to the operator and used to generate alarms/indicators and ensure the operator can make real-time decisions based on live/accurate data.

Each monitoring system is designed and manufactured to the customer’s specific requirements.

Our monitoring systems use a range of different protocols.

– Profibus– Analogue / Digital
– Modbus– RS45

The primary functions of the BMS are:

  • Monitoring individual battery blocks
  • Controlling the battery charging process
  • Switching off battery isolators
  • Displaying system parameters and alarms
  • Communicating system status and parameters to client’s PCS

information available for operator viewing on the HMI:

  • Battery block parameters (this can be done for each block/battery/cell)
  • Battery unit voltage
  • Battery unit current
  • Solar array voltage/current for each solar charge controller
  • Battery charger output voltage/current for each battery charger
  • System 24Vdc DB voltage
  • System 24Vdc Motor DB current
  • Alarm list showing any alarm and the time it occurred.
  • Fault list showing any fault and the time it occurred.
  • Temperature

HMI Status bar (e.g. see ‘Monitoring’ image):

  • System Shutting Down
  • General Network Fault
  • System Fault Active
  • Charger Alarm/Fault
  • System Alarm Active
  • System Warning Active
  • System Charging
  • Initialising
